A Memento is a benefit issued to holders of your Magnet. Mementos are configured to provide access to perks like gated content, unique claim codes, merchandise, social sharing, and much more. They are the building blocks that shape the digital journey for your customer.

What Is a Memento?

Draft a release just like you would any other. For instructions on how to do this, reference the “Launching A Magnet” article.

Review the release details on the dashboard. If you want to make any changes, click the three dots in the “Actions” column and choose “Edit Release”. Make any changes to the fields and save another draft.

Now we will make this release a "Private Release". Click the same three dots in the “Actions” column and select “Private Release”.

If you are ready to launch, click the same three dots in the “Actions” column and select “Publish Release”. You’ll be prompted to confirm one last time. Once done, you’re launched!

The Makeup of a Memento

Every Memento has defining traits that you'll need to provide:

  • Thumbnail - Image or GIF that represents the Memento visually on the platform
  • Title - The name of the activation
  • Description - A short description of the benefit. This field is enabled by rich text format
  • Unique Trait - This will depend on the Memento type. It ranges anywhere from content uploads to defining product variants for merchandise drops
Customization Options

Here are some customization levers you can pull:

  • Drafts - create a Memento and save it to draft so someone on your team can review or approve it
  • Scheduling - schedule when Mementos are delivered to your customer
  • Exclusive Content - toggle if you want content and other benefits to be only viewable by Magnet holders
  • Embedded Links - you can embed links in the description section of your Memento
  • Incentives - our incentive functionality gates access to benefits until your customer has engaged in an act such as filling out a survey or sharing to socials
Notifications

When you send a Memento, your customers will automatically be notified via email and through their profile on the app.

The email they receive will be from your brand and will include details such as your banner. An example email can be seen below.
